Once upon a time ago, in a land called Illinois, my, at the time long-distance, boyfriend endured many talkative hours of hearing my life stories, complaints, and artistic dreams. One Valentine's Day in, after sharing my desire to delve into portrait and events photography, I opened a gift and an opportunity to join the photography world - my gorgeous Nikon D5500. 

 

Now, I live with said long-distance boyfriend, in Salt Lake City, Utah, where my photography obsession has grown from several fun-filled hours of photoshoots with my friends, who also jumped on the bandwagon and took photos of me (pictured right, thanks Mika!) and lots of time awkwardly hovering above flowers for the perfect still image, to the business of von dej (translation: from Dej) photography. Which, of course, still involves fun-filled hours with new friends, and just a little less awkward hovering all around. 

 

No matter what is on the other side of the lens, I am dedicated to beautifully capturing the imaginative moments, memorable events, and morsels of life.
